Welcome to my Fourth Grade Class.

Mrs. Ospina

Welcome to a new school year. It will be very exciting for both you and your child.
I know that you hold high expectations for this year and I hope to fulfill them all. I want you to know that your child is now a very important part of my life. He or she is each unique and special, and it is my pleasure to have him or her in my classroom.

Reminder that all students need to have their dictionaries and
thesauruses in school. Also, parents need to check up and make sure that students have their school supplies such as pencils, red pens, highlighters, and paper.

Home Learning

Homework provides your child the opportunity to review the material learned during the school day and reinforces new skills. Your child will receive homework everyday and I will review it with them daily. Please ask to see your child’s completed homework and help them if needed. I will promptly notify the parent if homework is not being turned in.
Attendance
It is important for your child to come to school every day in order to succeed and grow academically. However, if your child should become ill and cannot attend, please send a note with them when they return explaining that he or she was sick. Without a note your child’s absence will be unexcused. Only illness or observance of a religious holiday will be considered an excused absence. After five excused absences with a parent note you must bring a doctor’s note for any additional absences to be considered excused. This is school policy. Any missed homework or class work should be made up as soon as possible.
