| Welcome to Mrs. Prine's Fifth grade Class.
This will be an exciting year. Your child will be asked to participate in numerous field trips. There will be a lot of hard work ahead of us. Parent participation will help all of us succeed. The year goes by quickly and your child needs to be ready for middle school as soon as possible. Please encourage responsibility for all work inside and outside the classroom. |

Homework |

Your child will be given homework Monday through Friday. I recommend that you inquire daily about the assigned work and check it with your child. |

Materials / Materiales |
|
|
- one bookbag
- one zippered pencil case (no school boxes)
- 4 sharpened pencils (4 lapices con puntas)
- 2 duotang folders (2 carpetas con bolsillos)
- 1 box of crayons (24) (1 caja de creyones para colorear)
- 1 eraser
- one pencil sharpener with a cover(1 sacapunta)
- 2 highlighters
- 2 red pens
- 2 packages of lined paper
- one notebook with 7 dividers

Classroom Rules and Consequences |
|
- Follow directions the first time they are given.
- Keep hands, feet, and all objects to yourself.
- Raise your hand and wait to be recognized before speaking.
- Always bring necessary materials to class.
- Be courteous, respectful, and always use good manners with others.
If a student chooses to break a rule:
- 1st time : verbal warning
- 2nd time : Note sent home for parent(s) to sign
- 3rd time : Phone call to parent(s) work or home
- 4th time : Time out or parent/teacher conference
- 5th time : Scam from will be written and student will be sent to the office.
Severe disruption: Time Out in the Principal's Office. |
